2026 Annual Congress of the IIPF

The 82nd Annual Congress of the International Institute of Public Finance (IIPF) was held at ISEG Lisbon, Portugal, from August 24-26, 2026.

The local organization was led by Professors António Afonso, José Borges Alves and João Pereira dos Santos (all ISEG Lisbon).

The Scientific Committee was chaired by Professors Naomi Feldman (Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel) and Dirk Foremny (University of Barcelona, Spain).

The overall topic of the congress / keynote speeches was "Public Finances in Turmoil".

Plenaries included a Panel Discussion on "Fiscal Policy in Europe" (José Brandão de Brito / Clemens Fuest) as well as keynote speeches given by Professors Kimberly Clausing, Thiemo Fetzer and Nadine Riedel.

The congress featured a Summer School / Workshop for PhD students on August 27.
